🏆 Project Work Success at LEO School!

This May, students across LEO School took part in our very first Independent Project work—a school-wide initiative designed to foster collaboration, creativity, and presentation skills across different Key Stages.

Students from Years 7–9 (KS3), Year 10–11 (KS4), and Year 12 (A-Level) were placed into mixed-age groups within their stages and given a choice of thought-provoking, age-appropriate topics to explore. Each group was responsible for researching, planning, and presenting their project entirely independently—with only a guidance pack to help them along the way.

Over the Easter holidays, students organised their teams, assigned roles, and collaborated through school chatrooms to prepare presentations. The projects were then delivered live —with some fantastic results!

Each student who took part received a Special Achievement Certificate from the Headteacher, and the winning group in each Key Stage was awarded a Winner’s Certificate.

Judging was carried out by staff across the school to ensure fairness and to celebrate the range of approaches taken.

🎉 A Big Congratulations

To all students who participated: your teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity impressed us all. For many, this was your first experience with project-based independent learning—and we couldn’t be prouder of your achievements.

We hope to see this become a regular tradition at LEO School!
